Providing birth and/or postpartum care is when a doula helps to nourish both the mother and the new baby in ways that stretch far beyond food. From the first night of your labor, to the first few months beyond birth is a fragile but empowering period of time that deserves the necessary support in order to grow stronger for your tomorrow.
Nourishment during this time can look like your doula (hi, its me!) taking care of the birthing woman and her environment. This includes stabilizing or breaking through emotions surrounding birth, emotionally and physically supporting waves of labor, light household chores, providing nourishing cooked or easily frozen meals for mom, supporting all methods of infant feeding, watching baby while mom takes time to shower or rest alone, helping with sibling integration during birth or postpartum, as well as errand or appointment running. In its essence, doula care is taking care of you. This is a sacred time for you and your family to be soaking in all the love you have created.
The mother holds the baby, and I will hold the mother.

As a birth doula, I provide conscientious and hyper-aware emotional and physical support for laboring and birthing moms. This includes, but is not limited to, hands-on or off support (depending on birthing mom’s desires), subtle yet effective tips and tricks to ease mom’s physical positioning at every stage of labor and delivery, and unwavering emotional support in any way mom may want or need.

60 minute Consultation, In-Person or via Zoom
(3) 2-hour Prenatal Visits (includes: creating birth plan, setting up homebirth nest, discussing priorities customized to your needs)
(2) 1-hour Prenatal Smoothie Dates (includes: emotional prenatal and/or labor mentality support)
On-call Text Support leading up to Active Labor or starting at 37 weeks (whichever one comes first, but you can text me any questions you may have starting as soon as hired!)
On-call Birth Support once Active Labor begins (ready to support you in-person as soon as you call!)
3-hour Postpartum Support (I’ll be taking care of all the aftermath behind the scenes immediately following birth to ensure all you have to worry about it spending time with your baby)
1 Postpartum Visit at-home to provide Mom with continued emotional and nutritional support (Postpartum Visits are to give Mom and her needs the proper time to feel seen and heard. I’ll take care of light household chores, take time to process your birth with you, allow you time to take care of solo tasks, and much more!)

As a postpartum doula, I provide in-home nutritional, emotional, and locally resourceful bodywork support during one of the most vulnerable points in a new family’s life. This is the time where to-do’s can pile up as the family is spending all of their time tending to the new baby. Hiring a postpartum doula means you are bringing in an active caregiver who ensures mom is properly healing. No woman should have to rush through healing from childbirth. It also means you are hiring a sister-like support person who will be there to sit with you as you process your experience, and listen to you through any given emotion as you navigate feeding and tending to your new baby. Additionally, tasks such as light household chores, laundry, dishes, sibling introductions, pet needs, tending to baby while mom showers, or even running necessary errands. This is a critical time where families should seek support that truly empathize and provide the depth of care that is needed in order to heal and thrive.
Know that I will be there for you, on your terms. Options for multi-visit packages start at 3 days of service per week within customized 3-hour blocks of time.

By-The-Hour: $40/hour, (3) hour minimum
